India and Tanzania share a vibrant economic, commercial and business tie. India is the largest trading partner of Tanzania comprising 16% of Tanzania’s foreign trade. India is also among the top five investment sources in Tanzania. Seeking to enhance its ties with resource-rich Tanzania, India has extended its full support to it to meet its development needs and signed five agreements, including one for providing a line of credit of $92 million for rehabilitation and improvement of Zanzibar's water supply system.

Recognizing that development partnership is an important facet of bilateral relations, Tanzania expressed appreciation for India’s continued commitment towards supporting its development efforts through providing technical and capacity building training and extension of developmental projects using grants and concessional credits.

Realizing the immense potential which the country has to offer, EEPC India has identified Tanzania as the location of next edition of its flagship engineering Show – Indian Engineering Exhibition (INDEE). INDEE Tanzania 2020 will coincide with 22nd INDUSMACH AFRICA 2020 scheduled from 9 – 11 September 2020. This is the largest trade event held annually in Tanzania. The exhibition attracts exhibitors from more than 20 countries and visitors from all over East & Central Africa, thus giving exhibitors an excellent opportunity to explore several countries at one time. The exhibition is supported by East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. This is the first time when INDEE is venturing into Tanzania.
In 2019, exhibitors from over 20 countries participated at the event showcasing the widest range of fascinating Industrial products tools, machinery equipment trade exhibition.

Features of 22nd INDUSMACH AFRICA 2020

The INDUSMACH 2020 – East Africa’s largest International exhibition on Industrial Products, Equipment & Machinery. Over the past few years, Tanzania has emerged as a major regional trade centre. This is mainly due to the very friendly and businesslike atmosphere it offers to foreign investors and products.

Tanzania is one of the most important trading partners of India in the entire East African region. India-Tanzania bilateral trade has increased over the last few years. The total merchandise trade between the two nations reached US$ 2.61 billion in 2018-19 from US$ 2.58 billion, registering a growth of 1.1 percent.

One side open (built-up booth): Rs. 15,000 per Sqm. (Subject to Government approval)
10% extra for two sides open booth (subject to availability)

Re-imbursement of Airfare

Upto Rs. 70,000 may be reimbursed to eligible participants in terms of the MAI guidelines. However, this shall be subject to receiving of specific Govt. approval for such assistance for events of 2020-21. The T&C must be abided by for eligibility towards such re-imbursement. Note: EEPC INDIA can only recommend for issuance of VISA to the extent that the concerned person is a participant at the subject exhibition and that the person in question has been certified by the participating organisation to be their employee. The Foreign Embassy / Consulate where the applicant submits the VISA application is expected to follow their usual procedural checks before granting the VISA in question and EEPC INDIA shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for non-issuance of VISA by the concerned authorities. This would mean that the prospective participant will be fully liable for the total charges payable to EEPC INDIA even if they do not obtain the VISA for any reason whatsoever.

Selection criteria

Since limited space is available, selection of participation will be done strictly on first-come, first-served basis.

Benefit to the member-exporters

EEPC India is proposing to organize this event under the MAI Scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The rates mentioned above are subsidized in comparison with the normal rates offered by the Fair Authorities and is in anticipation of receiving the government approval as has already been sought. In case the same is not received, additional payment shall be required to be made by the participants to confirm booking.

Cancellation of participation

In case any applicant wants to cancel his participation, it may be noted that he remains liable to pay the full amount to EEPC INDIA.

Note: Regarding goods taken out of India for exhibition or on consignment basis for export promotion, participants may refer to Circular No. 108/27/2019-GST dated 18.07.2019 of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) which is the statute in the matter.
